What rental options are there? 

Rental periods are flexible. If you have any questions regarding scheduling, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate. 

Can golf cart(s) be taken off-roading? 

- No, golf cart(s) can only be driven on the street. Off-roading is not permitted.

- Also, please do not drive through deep water. This could cause damage to motor/wiring under cart.

Can I drink while driving the golf cart(s)?

No. Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is prohibited and against the law. 

Where can I park the golf cart(s)?

- Golf cart(s) can be parked in any ordinary car-parking spots or parking garages. 

- Golf cart(s)  must adhere to the parking signs around town which show where it is ok and not ok to park. Please note – some parts of the peninsula are “residential only” parking on various side streets during certain hours of the day, depending on the season.  Please be sure to adhere to the rules listed on any parking signs to avoid getting a parking ticket.

Do you deliver cart(s) off of the peninsula? 

Yes, BTM Golf Cart Rental is now providing rentals to Park Circle as well as Downtown Charleston, SC. 

What is the minimum age to rent/drive a golf cart? 

Renter(s) must be at least 25 years old with a valid drivers license, credit card, and signed rental liability waiver. A renter may sign a rental liability waiver on behalf of a licensed driver age 21-24 years old.

Where do I pick up my cart rental?

A confirmation email will be sent explaining cart pick up instructions.

Can I drive the golf cart at night?

No, golf cart(s) cannot be driven 30 minutes past sunset. 

How long does the battery last?

- Cart battery will last for roughly 20-25 miles with full charge.

- We recommend keeping carts plugged in while not in use to assure plenty of battery life.

- To prevent possible battery damage or battery dying during outing, please do not allow battery life of the cart to go below 30%. 

- You will be provided with an extension cord that requires a 3 prong outlet. Please make sure an outlet is available at your place of stay.
